four months old

we had our 4-month well-check appointment today and, boy, was lucas a trooper. he had four shots - two in each leg - and gave out only one loud cry. i think it hurt me more than it did him. here are the stats for our little guy:

height: 24 3/4 inches (50%)
weight: 15 lbs, 12 oz (75%)
head: 41.2 cm (25%)

lucas has been up to his usual antics. he loves to roll, especially in his sleep! we lay him down to sleep in one direction and, by morning, he's completely flipped around in the other direction. lucas came down with a fever of about 100 after he received his immunizations at the doctor's office. i couldn't help myself and pulled him into bed with us and he ended up sleeping through the night for the first time! i know...tsk, tsk. you'd think that i would have gotten a full night's rest, but i didn't because i kept admiring him sleeping (so cute!).

socks

last christmas we received some very cute socks for lucas from our friend, M. here's lucas donning a couple pairs...

rollin', rollin', rollin'

we're so proud! lucas turned over for the first time today! he was spending some tummy time on the sofa next to me when all of a sudden he turned from his tummy to his back (on his right side). i could hardly believe it! here are just a few pictures i took to capture this milestone. (just a few, ha!) unfortunately, i wasn't able to capture any "action" shots. :(

lucas was invited to his first birthday party this month. his friend, miss emma, turned 1 year old! (she's the one in the white dress. the other cuties are tori and michael.) as you can see, lucas was pretty pooped from all the fun. :)

three months old

lucas turned three months old on may 20! here are a few pictures to show you what our little guy's been up to this past month:

two months old

lucas is two months old and he now recognizes his mommy and daddy! he smiles back at us when he sees us, which makes our hearts melt! he also loves to smile and coo at us when we have our activity time. oh, and he's also found his thumb. :9

one month old

today is lucas' one-month birthday...a very big milestone! grandma and grandpa tuan and aunty joann were here for a visit. we dyed some "red eggs" (a chinese tradition), prepared a few yummy dishes, and invited some friends over to celebrate. :9
