we have this place here in the tri-cities called monkey dooz. it's a "salon" just for kids. lucas' hair was getting way out of control and he wouldn't let me go near it, so i decided to give this place a try. it was awesome. the barber seats were actually jeeps (for the boys) and each jeep had a small tv in front of it playing a cartoon. these things kept lucas occupied long enough for the stylist lady to lop off most of his locks.
our good friends, the baders, organized a fun and instructive retreat for us up at goldendale this weekend. we had a great time hearing from a great speaker, taking turns cooking for one another, hiking and finding deer droppings, sighting a herd of deer, playing cards, performing an intrepretive lawn dance, and tee-peeing a neighbor cabin. our little ones seemed to enjoy it, too!
we participated in the 30th annual Lilac Bloomsday Run in spokane yesterday. we had a blast walking/running it with our friends, brady, shannon, and carter. it was COLD, but we survived! check us out...
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35
