our little girl!

we're back!

have you missed us? we've been really busy these last four months, which sort of explains why we went awol. while we weren't spending our time blogging and keeping everyone up-to-date with pictures and such, here's what we were doing:

:: september ::

1. traveled with the dickhauses to north carolina to visit our friends, nathan, emily, and edwin. we went to wrightsville beach in wilmington and played in the atlantic ocean for the first time! we also got a chance to see our other friends, the armstrongs, while we were there. (oh, and i got to visit some places where they shot dawson's creek. :P it was exciting!).

2. confirmed that we're pregnant again! baby is due on april 13, 2007.

3. allan shot his first professional wedding. the photos turned out great and he got 4 referrals from the event (one is another wedding).

:: october ::

1. took lucas to the pumpkin patch to pick out his own pumpkin.

2. allan traveled to china for about 2 weeks with a group from church. they met a lot of great people and came back with some cool stories.

3. celebrated friend bishan's 2nd birthday.

4. celebrated cousin ethan's 4th birthday (it was lucas' first time at chuck e. cheese's!).

5. took lucas trick-or-treating for the first time. he went with bethany, ethan, and bishan and we joined up with carter at the end. it was COLD but lucas had a "roaring" time. when the people from the first house opened the door, lucas walked right in making things a little awkward for us. but, who can blame him? that's what we make him do when we go to a friend's house and they open the door for us. we say, "lucas, go in."

:: november ::

1. allan turned the big 3-0 and we threw a murder mystery dinner party to celebrate.

2. felt the baby move for the first time, from the outside. :0)

3. found out that we're having a...GIRL!

4. celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary and took lucas to an aquarium for the first time.

5. had family over for thanksgiving and cooked our first turkey. it was yummy. =9

monkey dooz

we have this place here in the tri-cities called monkey dooz. it's a "salon" just for kids. lucas' hair was getting way out of control and he wouldn't let me go near it, so i decided to give this place a try. it was awesome. the barber seats were actually jeeps (for the boys) and each jeep had a small tv in front of it playing a cartoon. these things kept lucas occupied long enough for the stylist lady to lop off most of his locks.
